Sensation as if a knife sticking in the forehead - Terebinthina
I have chosen this because I think it is strange due to the fact that the key word is stabbing in the reps - cutting, or sharp pain might have sufficed but here it is stabbing and as if the knife is stuck in the head
Being quite poisonous Turpentine has a number of delusional states mainly where the senses are warped and there is a drowsy state and even leading to coma.
The poison causes a haemorrhagic state and blood will ooze from orifices quite freely.
Causation of the head symptoms can be from a fall and hence the equilibrium becomes disturbed - maybe a concussion type state. This goes on to impact the concentration capacity which becomes dull and difficult.
The opposite side to this is a mania, hysterical fainting, delirium and hydrophobic, horrible dreams and nightmares and an active loathing that can bring on a suicidal state. Poisons and toxic states often have these extreme differences, a passive and active mode of symptoms.
Smelling turpentine too much is, a bit like bleach, going to have an almost immediate effect on the respiratory organs and straight up the nose into the head creating this awful headache which can have concomitant symptoms of feeling as if one would fall forward while walking; as if a band around the head; as if sand is in the eyes; as if a seashell sound in the ear; as if they hear a striking of a clock and although this next one has nothing to do with the head pains it is even stranger than the others - as if they had swallowed a bullet and it lodges in the stomach.
Another organ disease affinity is of the kidneys - nephritis, the bladder bleeds (any organ can with this rx), urine can be almost black (possibly cancer?) and it can smell like violets (eating too many strawberries can do this as well).
With such a toxic background and a wide range of symptoms it is quite difficult to see where the main focus of disease is with this remedy but I would suggest it could be Uraemia with gout being one of the early signs which a client might come to see you about in the first instance.
