Bell: So many contradictory and alternating feelings, sensations, reactions, as well as physical symptoms. From one extreme to the other. No wonder, because Belladonna acts primarily on the brain. Besides everything we know about this remedy, it seems interesting to me to say something, perhaps a less known, what Alphonse Teste inferred, supplementing the considerations of C.W. von Hufeland, that there is a diversity of Belladonna's action on humans and animals by suggesting that it acts with an intensity proportionate to the brain development.
Whether we can apply this in practice is difficult to say, but I think should be borne in mind. If there is a proven underdevelopment of brain activity, according to these conclusions we may be able to see a reduced effect of Belladonna despite the fact that the remedy is well chosen. Definitely a topic for further research.
Great general sensitiveness. Quickness and suddenness of sensations, pains, changes.

Cadm-s: Once, when I had searched rubrics in the repertory for Cadmium sulphuratum, I remember that my first impression was how easily it can be confused with Arsenicum.
Then it was about one case of Hodgkin's disease. An unusual case of cancer in an older woman, at a stage when it was clear that there could be no cure. Not only because of the stage in which her body was on a physical level, but because the woman really wanted to die. Maybe one day I'll post that case here.
Why do I mention that case here? First, it was my first experience with this remedy in the sense that I considered it at all. The second is what I will quote from an article of Elaine Lewis I read later and found several analogies in.
To me personally, this article provided valuable insights, and somehow my conclusions and situations coincided in an unusual way. I think her work can give others as well a better understanding of Cadmiums.
Dr. Phatak: "The chief action of Cadm-s centres on stomach and respiration. There is extreme exhaustion and prostration, with vomiting. Patient must keep quiet. Icy coldness even near a fire. Low form of diseases run to deathward."

Colch: In all our materia medicas, we can see that Colchicum autumnale the most affects the muscular fibrous tissue, serous membranes and joints, especially small, causing extreme relaxation of muscles. Swelling of joints often is dropsical and that's why it is one of a chief remedies for gout and rheumatism. In Colch there is one very unusual symptom, to which E.B. Nash particularly draws attention in his writings: the smell of food cooking nauseates to faintness.
C. Hering left us a record in his writings that Colch was proved by Hahnemann, Stapf, Lindeman, as well as other old masters.
One of the most beautiful insights into the essence of this remedy, at least for me, gave Joy Lucas in her article 'Colchicum autumnale – do not interrupt me': "Colchicum is a beautiful autumn crocus. It has a thin and very unstable looking stem with no leaves for support making it appear fragile but when grown in masses the group seem to hold each other up but when grown singly inclement weather soon topples the plant right over. From this we could begin to understand how Colchicum needs ‘the group’ to feel as if they belong – there is a need to have support of some kind to remain upright and if this is not available the diseased state will be characterised by feeling left out and excluded. They do not like the status quo to be disturbed, and yet there is a strong sensitivity within this remedy that requires a constant need to adjust. This contradiction is seen by disturbing the status quo they are upset by this, it disturbs the group and yet they need frequent adjustment otherwise they feel trapped by the group."

Con: This is one of the so-called spinal remedies. Conium maculatum affects the nerves and muscles, causing lack of coordination, paralysis, gait disturbance, difficult speech. Patient gradually becomes weak.
Conium maculatum ie. poison hemlock, was in the potion that have poisoned Socrates. Nowadays, Conium is most often thought of in a connection with a leading cause of death in the modern world – cancer.
J.H. Clarke: "According to Hahnemann Con is one of those drugs of which it is exceedingly difficult to distinguish the primary and secondary effects. He thinks, nevertheless, that the primary action is one of 'rigidity, condensation, and constriction of the fibres, with swelling of the glands and diminution of the senses.' In this Teste concurs, adding that the action is primarily inflammatory, and that this accounts for its suitability for 'persons of a lively, quick, sanguine disposition, with a marked development of the glandular system', and explains why it is characteristically adapted to painful glandular affections, 'principally such as result from a strain or blow, but the precise cause of which may have escaped our recollection.' Stoerck used Conium in his heroic fashion and made with it some notable cures of scirrhous tumours, ulcerating and otherwise; but it was Hahnemann who first showed how the remedy could be used safely as well as effectively."

Digox: Тhere is not much information about Digitoxinum. On the contrary, I managed to find very little material, both in materia medica and the repertories.
Digox can be found in ‘New Manual of Homoeopathic Materia Medica and Repertory’ by William Boericke, but is mentioned in just three places, then in his ‘Repertory of small remedies in the Manual of Homoeopathic Materia Medica’, only in the content, but not in the rubrics, in ‘The Guiding Symptoms of Our Materia Medica’ by C. Hering and in Allen's ‘Encyclopedia of Pure Materia Medica’.
And, another important source, given that there are so few of them, is 'A case of poisoning by digitoxin' by Anthony Shupis, published in Homoeopathic Recorder, volume March 1951.
In the CR repertory there are 206 symptoms for Digox and I have concluded that they all come from the two original sources mentioned above: one proving and one case of poisoning.
Personally, I don't like to rely on such conclusions.
Ham: Constantine Hering made the first provings and introduced Hamamelis into homeopathy. Hamamelis virginiana is all about blood vessels, especially in rectum, genitals, limbs and throat.
Nash wrote that one author (obviously unknown to him as well) said that Hamamelis is Aconitum of the veins.
It is well known a significant impact of Ham. on the throat, in cases of so-called 'varicose angina'.
All in all, the main feature by which we can distinguish it from a large number of other remedies for disordered blood vessels, hemorrhoids, nosebleeds, menstrual bleeding problems, etc: there is marked soreness of the affected parts/tissues/organs.
It is also important to know that Ham. has a distinct relation to the effects of injuries, especially mechanical, so it can cure them when/if Arnica and Calendula did not help, and generally is connected with wounds in various ways.

Ign: The seeds of Ignatia amara contain a larger quantity of strychnine than those of Nux vomica, yet there is a great difference between the two remedies.
In this regard, Clarke quotes Hahnemann: "Although its positive effects," – says Hahnemann (M.M.P.), "have a great resemblance to those of Nux-v (which indeed might be inferred from the botanical relationship of these two plants) yet there is a great difference in their therapeutic employment. The emotional disposition of patients for whom Ign is serviceable differs widely from that of those for whom Nux-v is of use. Ign is not suitable for persons or patients in whom anger, eagerness, or violence is predominant, but for those who are subject to rapid alternations of gaiety and disposition to weep, or other characteristic emotional states, provided always that the other corporeal morbid symptoms resemble those that this drug can produce."
Nash called Ignatia a remedy of paradoxicalities, stating inter alia: head better lying on painful side, moody, goneness not > by eating, sore throat < by swallowing, thirst during chill, face red during chill, etc.
