A Simple Procedure
A client comes to us
We take the case
We look closely at the symptoms always asking "Why?" so as to bring forward the most important symptoms which rule the case
We study the case with the view that we have to understand what needs to be cured - if we have that then we can proceed with confidence
We select the hierarchy of symptoms to repertorise and weight them accordingly - this way you need fewer symptoms
We study the remedies that come through the repertorising and select the the remedy that best matches the case, hopefully this is the simillimum
We prescribe along with simillimum choice of dose, potency and posology.
We then manage the case
We assess progress or lack of it such as:-
Nothing happens. Assuming the client took the remedy this usually means it is not simillimum but check for serious antidoting or spoiled remedy. Retake the case.
The amelioration begins and so simillimum has probably be found and we continue according to the required case management needs.
There is an aggravation. Is it the homeopathic aggravation? If so this should pass quickly and be curative. Is it due to wrong choice of potency, dose, posology? If so, correct this. Is the aggravation in the form of proving symptoms? If so then dose, potency and posology are incorrect and probably the remedy is as well. Note the sensitivity of the client if they produce proving symptoms. Retake the case.
Symptoms change, i.e. new ones appear (as opposed to either an amelioration or aggravation - very different situation). This is either due to the disease state progressing for the worse because the remedy has had no impact whatsoever or dose, posology and potency have been so wrong that the vital force becomes confused and new symptoms are the result - this latter point happens when too many remedies have been given in rapid succession and continually prescribing on new symptoms will probably end in total disaster. Stand back, observe, start again, be clear minded, go back to the beginning and see what happens to the new symptoms.
Don't chase remedies and lose sight of what needed to be cured originally.
The simillimum at the beginning of the case will be the simillimum throughout the case.
