What does this rubric mean, please? (from Complete Repertory) you might find it is a number of reps but I am struggling with this I think it has something to do with any sensitive skin that has a flapping kind of sensation going on, and skin that is obstructed in some way. Top layer only of the skin such as erysipelas? This is possibly a translation issue of leaves and valves. Taken literally a leaf valve is something that obstructs and only flows in one direction (as many valves do). But there a quite a lot of remedies that have the 'leaf'sensation in other parts of the body. Again the leaf represents a blocking out, an obstruction but this might help with the rubric you ask about. Considering how many remedies are involved in this you would think it would be easier. Maybe ask Roger? Usually I always say to people if you are not sufre of the meaning of a rubric then read the remedies in the rubric as they will all have their own special reason for being there. Not so easy with this one

Reading all the remedies was the first thing I thought of, must be your good influence. I think perhaps a language issue. I will ask Roger.

I also think it's puzzling that it's such a large rubric, 117 remedies? Far more than all the other rubrics that mention leaf, combined. Perhaps because it's a general rubric? What comes to your mind, Joy, as the most likely remedies to have leaf-related sensations? (I have no vested interest, never heard anyone describe a symptom this way, just curious.) And a creature from my "neck of the woods" that comes to mind. I wonder if he would produce leaf symptoms?

Most of the leaf or membrane feelings come with internal organs such as the ear, throat, and these also represent an obstruction. But rather than a blockage the obstruction is given the leaf status to suggest it is more lightweight and moving, flapping (hence the valve connotation in your original rubric).
Kali iod; Spongia; and Sulphur would be the top ones to me but there are so many overall
At least a frog in the throat is easier to grasp and mostly clients refer to these obstructions completely differently.
All the remedies in the skin/leaf rubric have a huge range of skin sx but you’d probably never use that rubric
